So, we’re still on our quest to find the coolest watches on the market. After telling you last week about an ancestral European watchmaking maison, we decided to switch things up and tell you about a new brand called Maven, inspired by the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong.
The label was started by a group of designers and entrepreneurs, set out to design and manufacture well-made and enduring art you can wear on your wrist. They seek inspiration from modern city life, with just a touch of nature. It’s a tribute to their city, where both amazing urban and natural landscapes coexist in harmony.
This translates into two collections of minimalist wristwatches that feature everything we love about a clean and streamlined timepiece. The Enduring and the Artisan series are both currently available through a crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo.
The two series are identical in construction, except for the different faces. Besides that, each features a leather strap, 40 mm diameter, a 10 mm thick case, stainless steel bezel and case and Swiss Ronda 762 Movement. Solid stuff.
The face for the watches from the Enduring series are made of quality marble stone -each stone having its own unique birthmark. The Artisan series, however, features a plain face -it’s available in a variety of subtle natural color tones. Our favorite piece, from the latter series, is the first watch below -brown leather, green face, golden case. It’s seriously next level, and we love it.
